Itinerary at a glance
Day 1 Arrive Delhi
Arrive in Delhi and transfer to your hotel. The tour commences with dinner at the hotel.

Day 2 Delhi sightseeing and night train to Johdpur
Full day in Old Delhi-sightseeing to include the Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Qutub Minar, Humayun’s, India Gate, Parliament House and Rashtrapati Bhawan. Early evening take the ‘Mandor Express’ overnight sleeper train to Johdpur.

Day 3 Johdpur
On arrival transfer to the hotel to freshen up before setting out for a half day sightseeing. We have included a mix of sites and experiences in Jhodpur including Jaswant Thada, Merangarth Fort, Spice Paradise and Umaid Heritage Art School to mention a few.

Day 4 AM Jodhpur PM drive to Rawal Jojawar
This morning continue sightseeing in Jodhpur. After lunch set out for the 140km countryside drive to Rawal Jojawar

Day 5 Rawal Jojawar
Today drive into the countryside to visit camel herding communities, to walk in the picturesque town and perhaps visit a local school.

Day 6 To Udaipur
This morning drive to Udaipur. It is approx 160km via the Sadri Kumbhalgarh road through the Kumbhalgar National Park. There are Forts and Temples, red sandstone hills and colourful villages to see along the way.

Day 7 Udaipur
Udaipur is a lovely blend of water and lush green hills. Udaipur is known as Lake City and often called the Venice of the East. The city has five beautiful lakes and several public gardens that add to its charm. Full day sightseeing in Udaipur and an evening boat excursion at Lake Pichola.

Day 8 Udaipur
Continue the sightseeing programme this morning and after lunch free time in Udaipur to explore or hunt down crafts and mementoes.

Day 9 Early AM train to Jaipur
There is an early departure this morning to catch the 06.30am Express train to Jaipur. On arrival at 13.30pm, transfer to the hotel and late afternoon commence sightseeing with a walking tour of this fascination Royal city.

Day 10 Jaipur
A visit today to the ancient Rajput capital of Amber including an ascent to the 16th century hilltop fortress-palace with its richly decorated apartments. Also visit City Palace, and the adjacent Jantar Mantar. Afternoon free for shopping and relaxation.

Day 11 To Agra via Fatehpur Sikri
This morning set off by car for the drive to Agra via Fatepur Sikri. The distance is 235km but there will be opportunities to stop at points of interest along the way. At the historic ‘planned’ city of Fatepur Sikri there will be time to explore the site before continuing the short distance to Agra. This evening visit the Mehtab garden for sunset views of the Taj Mahal.

Day 12 Agra
A visit to the Taj Mahal is high on the agenda this morning. Sunrise is the optimum time to view the Taj so an early start before returning to the hotel for breakfast. This afternoon a visit to Agra Fort is planned with some free time late afternoon to put your feet up or explore on your own.

Day 13 AM to Delhi Pm flight to Kochi
This morning transfer to Indira Ghandi airport in Delhi, to connect with the flight to Kochi in enchanting Kerala, where, over the next 7 days you can trace stories of tea, spices and colonial endeavours. The hotel is in the peaceful heart of the historic fort.

Day 14 Kochi
Today we have proposed a full day out and about around the old city of historic Cochin (Kochi). First up is a visit to the Dutch Palace, Synagogue St. Francis Church, Santa Cruise Basilica then stroll amongst the unique Chinese fishing nets and the fish market. This afternoon free time to wander the antique shops in the Jewish quarter. This evening attend a Kathakali cultural dance performance.

Day 15 To Munnar
This morning head inland into the hill country tea plantations of Munnar, about 5 hrs to the east. Tea was the ultimate source of Kochi’s colonial wealth and Munnar is tea plantation ‘central’ in a region synonymous with spice and tea.

Day 16 Munnar
The plan today includes a short drive up to Eravikulam National Park for wildlife viewing amid the stunning alpine scenery of this vast high grassland set on the edge of the majestic Western Ghats. On return to Munnar time to visit a tea plantation and an opportunity to relax or explore before dinner.

Day 17 To Thekkady
After breakfast head off down country on a 4 hr drive to Thekkady on the boundary of Periyar Tiger Reserve. Later this afternoon a boat excursion for wildlife viewing on Periyar Lake. This evening is free to stroll around the spice market of nearby Kumily.

Day 18 Thekkady
Today is a full day for walking and nature watching in Periyar National Park.

Day 19 To Kumarakom
Leave the hills and head west out onto the coastal plain. It is about a 4hrs drive to Kumarakom on the shore of Venbanadu Lake. After arrival and check in, enjoy the rest of the day relaxing or exploring until dinner.

Day 20 AM Kumarakom PM to Alleppey Houseboat
There will be an early morning visit Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary today. Later in the morning drive to Alleppey and embark a Kerala backwaters houseboat for an overnight cruise.

Day 21 To Kochi International airport and conclude
After breakfast disembark from the houseboat and drive to Appleby and check into the resort hotel for the day. Rest of the day free for own activities. After an early dinner transfer to airport for your onward flight.
