Discover Mongolia's alluring wide open spaces and stunning vistas on this discovery style journey. Our route will take us to the spectacular fossil fields of the southern Gobi, to Khongoryn Els National Park then following in the footsteps of Roy Chapman Taylor to Flaming Cliffs fossil sites.On the journey north we visit the National Preserve of Przewalski's horses. In the lush grasslands and forests of the northwest we go cross country beyond the standard routes to the site of ancient Karkhorin.

Itinerary at a glance
Day 1 - Arrive Ulaanbaatar
Met on arrival and transfer to hotel. The tour commences with dinner tonight.
Day 2 -Ulaanbaatar
Full day sightseeing including Ganden monastery and the Museum of Natural History. Lunch at Mongolian cuisine restaurant and time permitting, visit a Cashmere Factory shop.
Day 3 - to Barga Gazrin Chulu
Depart UB by 4x4 cars and drive 220km south towards the Gobi region.
Day 4 - To Tsagaan Suvarga
This morning visit the ruins of Sum Khukh Burd Temple then continue south 280km to Tsagaan Suvarga (White Stupa) an area of white limestone in a picturesque setting.
Day 5 - To Yol Valley
Today set out by vehicle for an excursion to Yoliin Am National Park to explore the spectacular Yol Canyon.
Day 6 - To Khongor Sand Dunes
Drive to Khongur Sand Dunes, the largest dune formations in Mongolia, 180km in length and 20km wide.
Day 7 - To Bayanzag
Today drive 150km to Bayanzag, the dinosaur fossil region made famous by Roy Capman Andrews’ discoveries
Day 8 - To Ongi
After breakfast drive 150km north. Visit the ruins of the once great Ongi Monastery, visit a local restored temple and have a walk in the surrounding area.
Day 9 -To Kharkhorin
It is about 300km to Kharkhorin, the historic capital of Mongolia
Day 10 - Kharkorin
Take the day at a relaxed pace today Visit Erdene-Zuu Monastery, which was the first and the largest monastery in Mongolia built on the ruins of the ancient capital, visit the museum and enjoy some leisure time.
Day 11 - To Tesenker Hot springs
Today set off for Tesenker Hot springs set in a lovely forested valley near Tseterleg Town. This afternoon relax in the thermal pools.
Day 12 - To Mongol Ells
It is an easy part day drive to Mongol Ells , visit sand dunes and meet local camel herders.
Day 13 -To Hustain Nuruu
After breakfast set out for Hustain Nuruu National Park. It is an easy drive. On arrival drive deep into the National Park in search of Przewalski horses (takhi), If you have binoculars, please bring them. View a short documentary and visit the museum
Day 14 - To Ulaan Baatar
Drive to Ulaanbaatar. Short sightseeing tour including Natural History Museum or National History Museum or Bogd Khan Winter Palace Museum.
Day 15 - Depart
Transfer to airport / railway station to depart
