Itinerary at a glance
Day 1 - Arrive Dushanbe
Our representative will meet you on arrival at Dushanbe and transfer you to the hotel. There are no activities planned for the rest of the day.

Day 2 - Dushanbe
Today we are out and about around the city's cultural sites. We plan to visit the museum with its remarkable collection of Bactrian era artefacts, the bazaar and take a leisurely stroll along the city's leafy boulevards.

Day 3 - to Kala-i-Khumb
This morning we get away early for the long drive to Kala-i-Kumb by way of the torturous Saghirdasht Pass. Arrive at our overnight stop on the Panj river late afternoon. Overnight homestay.

Day 4 - to Khorug
Today we make our way up river to Khorug following the thin thread of the Pamir Highway along the gorges of the rushing Panj River. It will take most of the day to cover the distance. Overnight hotel.

Day 5 - Khorug
We have a rest day today. There is time to visit Central Asia's most diverse Botanical garden and have a look around the museum. Overnight Hotel.

Day 6 - to Garam Chasma
This morning we plan to visit the gem stone industry about an hour trek into the mountains near Porshinev village before continuing up the Panj river to Garamchasma hot spring to overnight at a homestay. (Trek is optional)

Day 7 - to Vichkut
Today we head up valley to Ishkashim and turn the corner into the Whakan Corridor. We take the side road up to the village of Vichkut perched above the Panj valley overlooking the great peaks of the Hindu Kush. Overnight Pamiri House homestay.

Day 8 - to Langar
We tread our way up valley through Pamiri villages to Langar at the junction of the Whakan and Pamir rivers. Along the way we stop at Vrang to walk to the 4th century Buddhist stupa and visit the museum of Sufi Muborak Wakhoni. Overnight homestay at Langar.

Day 9 - to Bulunkul Lake
Relaxing morning around the village. After lunch head off up the Pamir river to cross the Karagush pass and intersect the Pamir highway near the cut off to Blunkul Lake. Overnight homestay.

Day 10 - to Karakul Lake
Our route today will take us across the Pamir following the line of the Tajik-China security zone to cross Akbaital Pass and overnight at Karakul Lake guest house.

Day 11 - to Osh
Today we are off up the M41 to the Tajik-Kyrgyzstan border at Kizil Art Pass. After completing border formalities we descend the switchbacks to Sary Tash and continue to Osh. overnight at the guest house.

Day 12 - Osh
Today set out to explore Osh and soak up the sights and atmosphere of this historic Silk Road centre of trade and learning.

Day 13 - to Orson Gorge
The route today winds around the foothills of the Ferghana Mountains to Uzgen and Jalalabad. At Uzgen we can visit the Uzgen minaret and have lunch at Jalalabad before following the course of the Naryn River upsteam to Toktugul Reservoir to our overnight stay at the Chychkan Nature Reserve.

Day 14 - to Bishkek
Get back on the road today and cross the Alatoo mountains via the tunnel at Too Ashuu pass and continue to Bishkek

Day 15 - Bishkek
Today set out for some leisurely sightseeing around the parks, monuments and gardens of Bishkek

Day 16 - Conclude
This morning transfer to the airport and conclude.
