Join us on this touring style journey to the heart of the magnificent Karakoram Mountains . We commence in Islamabad and travel along the Kaghan Valley and through Deosai National Park Pakistan's picturesque "Little Tibet" of Baltistan. Our next port of call will be the Hunza surrounded by a spectacular array of peaks. Along the way we plan a village visit and homestay, plus some easy walks in upper Hunza before following the footsteps of trade caravans to the lofty Khunjerab Pass and retracing our route down Gilgit to conclude with a flight to IslamabadARRIVE EARLY ~ STAY LONGER

Itinerary at a glance
Day 1 - Arrive Islamabad
Arrive Islamabad. Transfer to the hotel. Remainder of the day free time. Our itinerary commences with dinner tonight
Day 2 - To Naran
A full day's drive into the foothills and along the picturesque Kaghan Valley to Naran.
Day 3 - To Rama Lake
Continue north crossing Babasur Pas into the Indus valley then to Astore and Rama Lake with stunning views of Nanga Parbat and the Karakoram mountains.
Day 4 - Rama Lake
A full day for easy walks around Rama Lake set beneath the ice ramparts of Nanga Parbat to soak up the mountain scenery.
Day 5 - To Shigar Fort
Descend to Astore and climb the switchbacks to the alpine plateau of Deosai National Park enroute to the Indus Valley at Skardu and continue up valley to Shigar Fort.
Day 6 - To Skardu
Time for easy local walks at Shigar before the short drive down the Indus to Skardu. Sightseeing round Skardu this afternoon.
Day 7 - To Gilgit
Get on the road early for the full day's drive following the twists and turns of the Indus to Gilgit.
Day 8 - To Karimabad / sightseeing
A short drive north to the Hunza region and Karimabad. Visit Baltit fort and enjoy some leisure time browsing the craft shops in Karimabad this afternoon.

Day 9 - Karimabad
This morning time to walk on the water race walk around the village. After lunch visit Altit Fort, then continue up to Duikar for spectacular sunset views over the surrounding peaks.
Day 10 - To Gulmit / sightseeing
A short drive north through the newly constructed tunnels passing Attabad Lake formed by a massive landslide in 2010. This afternoon visit Borit Lake and walk to the Passu Glacier outlook.
Day 11 - To Sost via Borit Lake
Drive to Borit Lake and walk along the water race high above the Passu Glacier. Continue north to Sost with stops en route to enjoy the mountains.
Day 12 - Misgar Village
We plan a full day visit to the small village of Misgar. Walk in the village, make a call at the community school. Picnic lunch in the orchard at the historic Post Office. Overnight in village house.
Day 13 - To Karimabad
Get away early to climb up the switchbacks to the Kunjerab Pass (4693m). Walk on the Pass before returning to Karimabad.
Day 14 - To Gilgit and flight to Islamabad
Today head back down valley to Gilgit and take the 1.20pm flight to Islamabad.
Day 15- Islamabad / depart
Transfer to the airport for your departure flight
