Mongolia North to South 2012
16 days : commences Ulaanbaatar 9th June 2012
Explore Mongolia’s alluring wide open spaces and stunning vistas on this discovery style journey. Our route will take us to the spectacular fossil fields of the southern Gobi, to Khongoryn Els National Park then following in the footsteps of Roy Chapman Taylor to Flaming Cliffs fossil sites. On the journey north we visit the National Preserve of Przewalski’s horses. In the lush grasslands and taiga forests of the north-east we go cross country beyond the standard routes into the valleys of the Kherlen River headwaters to explore the ‘homelands’ of Jingiz Khan.
